Behemoth Revisited

I‘ve been toddling about with these concept drawings off and on for a few years now. Here are a few doodles from today. I’ve been getting further along with the story as well. So…above are from today and below in the blue frames are from a while back…just inserted them into my portfolio recently.

Not so sure which style I’m gonna go forward with. The older drawings were much more refined but both take about the same amount of time to complete. For now though–I actually do have to write something…preferably something good.

Not a fully finished painting but I getting of seeing my face eating noodles on this blog. A minor project in the line of importance but I hope to turn this into something major. Concept painting for book proposal(yet to come)

For anybody interested–this is how it goes when choosing something as important as a cover. I have probably left out a few concepts and there are still more to come. Seeing the drafts and revisions like this in kind of cool in a way…makes you remember how hard you’ve been working and what you’ve forgotten in the process. Anyhow, still tossing things back and forth with the editorial/art staff today. This list could double by 5pm–to the credit of all thehard workers in NH on Epping Road.

At the 11th hour…

I came up with these this morning before sending he art to the publisher, at the urging of my wife who disliked(hated) my current cover art. I’m kinda glad I did. They seem to work better–any thoughts?
